AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER AND SERVICES TO NATIVE AMERICAN VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to provide emergency shelter and services in Albuquerque to Native American victims of domestic violence in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
