AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN SAN JUAN AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to contract with the Navajo Nation for provision of emergency management services in San Juan and McKinley counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
