SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number 1 to SENATE BILL 503, as amended

AMENDMENT sponsored by SENATOR RODRIGUEZ

1. On page 1, line 13, after "ACT" strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 14 and 15 and insert in lieu thereof a period.

2. On page 2, line 20, strike "a legislator or".

3. On page 2, line 21, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and" and between lines 21 and 22 insert the following new paragraph to read:

"(5) the state shall not make any group insurance contributions for legislators. A legislator shall be eligible for group benefits only if the legislator contributes one hundred percent of the cost of the insurance.".

4. On page 6, line 8, strike "forty" and insert in lieu thereof "one hundred".

5. On page 7, line 25 through page 19, line 13, strike Sections 4 through 6 in their entirety.

6. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
