AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES WITH AN ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE ORAL EDUCATION, RESEARCH, DIAGNOSTIC AND CLINICAL SERVICES FOR THE DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING POPULATION OF NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to contract for services with an organization to provide oral education, research, diagnostic and clinical services for the deaf and hard-of-hearing population of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
