AN ACT

RELATING TO TIME; EXEMPTING NEW MEXICO FROM OBSERVATION OF DAYLIGHT-SAVING TIME.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. STANDARD TIME--DEFINITION--OBSERVANCE.--

A. The standard time of New Mexico is standard time based on the mean solar time of the one hundred fifth degree of longitude west of Greenwich, commonly known as mountain standard time.

B. New Mexico hereby exempts itself from the provisions of Subsection (a) of 15 USCA Section 260 providing for the advancement of time. The entire state, including all of its political subdivisions, shall throughout the year observe standard time as defined in Subsection A of this section.
