FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ALAMOGORDO IN OTERO COUNTY.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the state agency on aging

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to construct a fitness room at the Alamogordo senior center in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

• to the department of environment

 

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for water line replacement and related street improvements on Alaska avenue in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to replace the water line on South Florida avenue and update service meters and connections in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

• to the state highway and transportation department

 

two million nine hundred thousand dollars ($2,900,000) to improve, widen and extend the First street roadway to the relief route in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to improve South Florida avenue between Santa Cruz drive and Panorama boulevard in Alamogordo in Otero county, including repaving the street, replacing the sidewalks, curbs and gutters and installing ramps;

 

one million two hundred thirty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($1,232,500) to widen the roadway along South Florida avenue south of Panorama boulevard to the armory, including installation of curbs, sidewalks, gutters and ramps in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) to purchase and install a traffic signal at Puerto Rico avenue and Indian Wells road in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to extend South Scenic drive, including sidewalk, curb, gutter and ramp installation and railroad crossing construction in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

two hundred ninety thousand dollars ($290,000) to widen and improve South Florida avenue from the armory to Desert Lakes road in Alamogordo in Otero county.
