SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 738

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2003

REQUESTED BY John Arthur Smith

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HIDALGO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to purchase street paving vehicles and maintenance vehicles for Lordsburg in Hidalgo county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase an ambulance in Hidalgo county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, construct and furnish a jail in Hidalgo county.
