A MEMORIAL

EXPRESSING THE CONCERNS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES REGARDING THE OPERATION OF THE DIESEL-FUELED ELECTRICAL GENERATING STATION OWNED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF NEW MEXICO, LOCATED IN LAS VEGAS, NEW MEXICO.

WHEREAS, community concerns have been raised regarding emissions, both noise and particle, generated by the operation of this station; and

WHEREAS, community concerns have been raised regarding the condition and the continued safe operation of the facility; and

WHEREAS, community concerns have been raised regarding the number of hours that this station will be operated in the future;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the concerns of the community and the city of Las Vegas, New Mexico, be expressed to the public regulation commission and the Public Service Company of New Mexico; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to the chairman of the public regulation commission, the mayor of Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the Public Service Company of New Mexico.
