COMMENDING THE PRACTITIONERS OF FALUN DAFA FOR STAUNCHLY STANDING IN THE FACE OF PERSECUTION TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR FREEDOM OF MIND AND SPIRIT.

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa is a peaceful and healthy practice of body and mind that emphasizes the assimilation of the universal principles of truth, compassion and tolerance; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa has benefited people around the world by improving their health, calming their minds, uplifting their spirits and deepening their understanding of life and humanity; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries, resonates a universal truth to the whole world and bridges the gap between east and west; and

WHEREAS, the great compassion and tolerance demonstrated by the practitioners of Falun Dafa under the most severe circumstances has touched the hearts of people who feel that every person around the world should be allowed freedom of belief;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the practitioners of Falun Dafa be commended for their compassion and their resolve to exercise their freedom of belief in the face of great persecution; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to Ms. Wenjing Ma and the Falun Dafa information center in New York.
