AN ACT

RELATING TO PUBLIC FINANCE; ALLOWING THE FINANCING OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES IN THE NAVAJO COMMUNITIES OF BACA, CROWNPOINT, MANUELTIO AND NAGEEZI; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 2004 through 2008 to fund economic development programs in the Navajo communities of Baca, Crownpoint, Manuelita and Nageezi. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
