AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE FIRST JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY FOR A PUBLIC INTEGRITY AND WHITE COLLAR CRIME UNIT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred twenty-nine thousand five hundred sixty-seven dollars ($229,567) is appropriated from the general fund to the first judicial district attorney for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide for a public integrity and white collar crime unit that investigates and prosecutes crime that occurs within government. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
