AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING ASSISTANCE FOR NATIVE AMERICANS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to remove architectural barriers in homes and purchase adaptive equipment for elderly Native Americans or Native Americans with disabilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
