AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO PAY FOR CERTAIN COSTS OF THE ANNUAL STATE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to pay for costs of the annual state high school basketball tournament, including personnel, management, security, custodial, utility and rental costs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
