AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE MATH INSTRUCTION TRAINING FOR TEACHERS IN THE ELDORADO CLUSTER OF ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide math instruction training for teachers in the Eldorado cluster of Albuquerque public schools, including: Eldorado high school, Hoover middle school and Georgia O'Keeffe, John Baker, Matheson Park, Mitchell, Onate and S.Y. Jackson elementary schools. The training shall aid teachers in improving their skills, technical knowledge and teaching techniques in mathematics. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
