AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY TO FUND THE UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide funding for the upward bound program for high-risk high school students to stimulate interest in and readiness for college. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
