AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING FOR COMMUNITY LAND GRANTS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a distribution of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to the north central New Mexico economic development district and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to the northwest New Mexico council of governments to provide technical assistance to community land grants for comprehensive planning, including economic development, housing, land use, infrastructure and grant administration and training to operate as political subdivisions of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
