AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PECAN INDUSTRY MARKETING, RESEARCH AND PEST ERADICATION BY THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to support the New Mexico department of agriculture to perform pecan industry marketing efforts, research and pest eradication programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall not revert to the general fund.
