AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH THE NEW MEXICO FORESTRY AND WATERSHED RESTORATION INSTITUTE AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thirty-three thousand dollars ($433,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to establish the New Mexico forestry and watershed restoration institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
