FOR THE CAPITOL BUILDINGS PLANNING COMMISSION

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE NECESSARY STAFF AND HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE TO UPDATE THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE NEEDS OF STATE GOVERNMENT UNDER THE PURVIEW OF THE CAPITOL BUILDINGS PLANNING COMMISSION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--MASTER PLAN FOR NEEDS OF STATE GOVERNMENT.--Five hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($565,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the property control division of the general services department for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 and 2007 for the purpose of establishing a master planning and asset management function for the needs of state government facilities under the purview of the capitol buildings planning commission and obtaining associated hardware and software necessary to maintain an updated master plan. Included in the appropriation is sufficient funding for three permanent full-time-equivalent employees of the property control division to provide necessary staff support to maintain the master plan as required of the capitol buildings planning commission and to perform the increased asset management function required for accountability on state projects administered by the property control division. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
