AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT TO ENGAGE COMMUNITIES IN SANDOVAL COUNTY IN A PROJECT THAT HELPS FAMILIES MOVE OUT OF POVERTY, HELPS CHILDREN TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND PRESENTS SYSTEMIC SOLUTIONS TO POVERTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to engage communities in Sandoval county in a project that helps families move out of poverty, helps children to succeed in school and presents systemic solutions to poverty. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
