AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY FOR EQUIPMENT CONVERSION AND THE PRESERVATION AND STORAGE OF CERTAIN RECORDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for equipment conversion and the preservation and storage of certain written and electronic records of historic significance that will be made a permanent part of the university records and available to the public. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
