Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 345 appropriates funds to Espanola school district, for the summer enrichment school
program for youth in the communities of Truchas, Ojo Sarco, and Cordova. This bill contains an
emergency clause.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $30,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 07 shall revert to the gen-
eral fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
This program addresses the necessity to engage the youth in these communities in constructive
ways. The objective of this enrichment program is to elevate students’ achievement in school.
