if they are used for other purposes.

Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 444 appropriates $125.0 from the general fund to the historic preservation division of
the Cultural Affairs department for the development of educational programs in historic preser-
vation and regionalism.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
House Bill 444 appropriates $125.0 from the general fund and is recurring. Any unexpended or
unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The non reverting language is consistent with language in the House Appropriation and Finance
committee substitute for the General Appropriation Act.
PERFORMANCE IMPLICATIONS
The Cultural Affairs department continues to provide educational programs throughout the
agency that benefits all New Mexicans in cultural areas of art, preservation and history.
