SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 788 appropriates $150 thousand from the general fund to the Tourism Department to
promote Native American cultural tourism in Albuquerque.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $150 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall
revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
While is not clear how the Tourism Department will use this appropriation, the IAD indicates
that the Tourism Department is qualified to present Native American cultures accurately to the
