AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND PROGRAMS APPROVED BY THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy thousand dollars ($270,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to expand the programs approved by the national collegiate athletic association. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
