AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE UNDERGRADUATE TO MEDICAL SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAMS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred thirty-two thousand three hundred dollars ($1,132,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the New Mexico health sciences center to fund and administer the third year of programs in the university's "BA-MD" program that provides consistent mentoring and training for medical students beginning as undergraduates and continuing through medical school. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
