AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO'S OWN INITIATIVE PROMOTING THE STATE'S ARTISAN MANUFACTURERS AND FOOD PROCESSORS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the New Mexico's own initiative to promote the state's artisan manufacturers and food processors through a trade show, a web site, a continuing consumer awareness initiative and technical assistance with market development, product sales and representation at regional trade shows. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
