AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE COURTS FOR ADULT MENTAL HEALTH COURT PROGRAMS STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts, from which judicial districts can petition for distribution, for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to provide staff, contractual services and other operating costs for adult mental health court programs in the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
