AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FRAY ANGELICO CHAVEZ HISTORY LIBRARY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to acquire and preserve for posterity the archives of New Mexico publishers and writers of history and history works and videotaped interviews of senior citizens to be stored in the Fray Angelico Chavez history library. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
