AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF A PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAM THAT SERVES OVER FIVE THOUSAND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO CHILDREN AND INCLUDES SIX MAIN STAGE PRODUCTIONS EACH YEAR.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 by the city of Santa Fe to support a performing arts program that serves over five thousand northern New Mexico children each year and includes six main stage productions for children performed by children, that teaches classes for children from eight to eighteen years old in all of the performing arts disciplines and that includes educational outreach, bilingual programming and touring workshop components. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
