AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO LAW ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION EXCHANGE SYSTEM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to provide law enforcement agencies with the labor, hardware and software to access the federal naval criminal investigative service through the New Mexico law enforcement information exchange system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
