AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TWENTY-FOUR-HOUR NURSE HEALTH ACCESS TELEPHONE ADVICE LINE TO SERVE ALL NEW MEXICANS REGARDLESS OF INSURANCE STATUS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years to fund a twenty-four-hour nurse health access telephone advice line to coordinate services to benefit the health of all New Mexicans regardless of insurance status. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
