AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO ESTABLISH AN OUTREACH PROGRAM AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS IN SANTA FE COUNTY TO ATTEND DANCE AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to establish an outreach program and scholarships for students in Santa Fe county to attend dance and pre-professional dance education programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
