AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY FOR THE INTERNET-BASED TEACHER PREPARATION PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred eighty-eight thousand six hundred dollars ($388,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of western New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to expand the internet-based teacher preparation program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
