    Your TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

HOUSE BILL 342, as amended

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

     1. Strike House Energy and Natural Resources Committee Amendment 3.

 

     2. On page 1, line 20, strike "6" and insert in lieu thereof "5".

 

     3. On page 1, strike lines 24 and 25.

 

     4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

 

     5. On page 2, line 11, through page 5, line 13, strike Section 3 in its entirety.

 

     6. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.

 

     7. On page 5, line 21, strike "committee" and insert in lieu thereof "secretary".

 

     8. On page 6, line 22, after "secretary", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 23 through the comma.

 

     9. On page 10, line 6, after the period, insert "A severer of uranium shall not be subject to the uranium legacy cleanup surtax with respect to severed uranium if the surtax on that severed uranium is paid by a processor.".

 

     10. On page 10, line 7, after "at", strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 8 and insert in lieu thereof:

 

"an amount equal to fifty cents ($.50) per pound of the content of U308 contained in uranium severed or processed after such severing, regardless of the form in which the product is actually disposed of.".,

 

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
