AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR AN ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR THE MAIN STREET PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 through the department's general operating budget to provide for an assistant director for the department's main street program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
