AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURAL EDUCATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support Native American cultural education for youths in Albuquerque, including music and dance performances, craftsman demonstration projects and lectures. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
