AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR NAVAJO AND OTHER NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES IN NORTHWESTERN NEW MEXICO AND FOR NATIVE AMERICAN THERAPEUTIC FOSTER HOMES STATEWIDE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million eight hundred thousand dollars ($4,800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years for behavioral health services and support services in Navajo and other Native American communities in northwestern New Mexico and for behavioral health services and support services for Native American therapeutic foster homes statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
