AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER AND HOMELESSNESS PROGRAMS THROUGH THE VETERANS' SERVICES DEPARTMENT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the veterans' services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to address the problems of post-traumatic stress disorder and homelessness confronting New Mexico veterans and provide arts and cultural programming to enhance self-esteem and to instill a sense of dignity in the state's veterans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
