AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE SPANISH COLONIAL RESEARCH CENTER TO CONDUCT A HISTORICAL STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MORA LAND GRANT AND FORT UNION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the Spanish Colonial research center to conduct a historical study of the relationship between the Mora land grant and Fort Union. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
