AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROMOTE CERTAIN ART EXHIBITIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to promote and advertise, statewide and nationally, an exhibition featuring work by an internationally recognized American photographer known for photographing the American west and by a female American artist associated with the southwest and particularly New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
