SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1___ toSENATE BILL 442, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator William H. Payne

    1. On page 2, line 6, after "assessed", insert "penalties,".

     2. On page 2, line 7, after "costs", insert "for each offense or violation".

    3. On page 2, between lines 7 and 8, insert a new paragraph to read:

             "(2) each month, or other period set by contract, the municipality shall retain from the gross total amount of penalties, fines, fees and costs assessed and collected that month or period an amount subject to audit that is equal to the setup, maintenance, support and processing services fees charged for that month or period pursuant to contractual terms, by a vendor providing systems and services that assist the municipality in imposing penalties or fines and costs or fees as provided in this subsection.".

    4. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.

    5. On page 2, line 8, strike "the" and insert in lieu thereof "less the retention authorized in Paragraph (2) of this subsection, the net".

    6. On page 2, line 11, after "the", insert "net".

    7. On page 2, line 12, after "the", insert "net".
