AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TEAM MENTORING PROJECT FOR HIGH-RISK YOUTH IN THE RIO GRANDE CORRIDOR.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract for a team mentoring project for high-risk youth in the Rio Grande corridor who are paroled from the children, youth and families department and for high-risk youth in the greater Albuquerque-Rio Rancho area who are on probation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
