AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SERVICES RELATED TO PREPARING STUDENTS FOR CAREERS IN MATHEMATICS, ENGINEERING AND THE SCIENCES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for expenses related to enrolling seven public school teachers who teach mathematics and science in a twenty-month masters of science teaching program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
