AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TALENT SEARCH FOR YOUTH DAY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2008 and 2009 for a talent search for the New Mexico youth day concert to be held in Bernalillo county for the New Mexico youth day holiday. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.

     Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
