Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 138, Making an Appropriation for Training of at-risk Youth in Taos County,
appropriates $50 thousand from the general fund to the Department of Finance and
Administration to contract for job readiness and education services for at-risk youth in Taos
county.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $50 thousand contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall revert to the
general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
HB 138 would appropriate $50 thousand from the general fund to the Local Government
Division of the Department of Finance and Administration for FY09 to contract for training in
ambassadorship, international service learning, job readiness and education services for at-risk
youth in Taos County.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
The Local Government Division of DFA would be charged with administering the contract.
