SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 380, Making an Appropriation for Educational Initiatives on the City of Santa Fe’s
History, Culture and Livelihood, appropriates $275.0 thousand from the general fund to DFA for
the purpose of educational initiatives on Santa Fe’s history, culture and livelihood.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $275.0 thousand contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the
general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall
revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
DFA notes that HB 380 funds educational initiatives around the City of Santa Fe's 400th
Anniversary, supporting activities of the city's 400th Anniversary Task Force. This will
enhance the historical and cultural aspects of Santa Fe's rich heritage.
