Synopsis of Bill

House Bill 597, Making an Appropriation for the Promotion of a Ladies Professional Golfers

Association Event in Sierra County, appropriates $100.0 thousand from the general fund to DFA

for the purpose of a ladies professional golfers association skin game to be held at the Turtle

Back resort.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The appropriation of $100.0 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general

fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall revert to the

general fund.

SIGNIFICANT ISSUES

HB 597 appropriates funds for the City of Elephant Butte to promote a ladies professional

golfers association skin game at the Turtle Back resort and golf course in Sierra County.
