SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 605 appropriates $100.0 to the Public Education Department for a full-time grant
researcher in the Los Lunas Public School District for Fiscal Year 2009
.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY09 shall revert to the general
fund.
There is no fiscal implication to the Public Education Department. It is anticipated that any
administrative support needed for this appropriation will be absorbed within the existing
resources.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
This funding initiative is outside of the funding formula and has a tendency to disequalize school
funding
