SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 13 allows legislative reimbursement for parking expenses when traveling out-of-
state. Current law only allow for airport parking reimbursement.
The bill also clarifies language providing that in no event shall the mileage reimbursement for
out-of-state travel exceed the dollar amount that would be due if the member had used first class
public air transportation by the shortest, most direct route.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Members, officers and employees of the legislative branch of government will be reimbursed for
all parking if they choose to drive or rent cars when they travel. There is no data available to
determine whether this will increase or decrease reimbursements.
